An operation is the most essential component of running any business. An organization may have best strategies and great Product or service but if they don't have good operations team, probability of success is thin. An Organization and its management always are concerned about getting super stars, best of the strategists and people who are Leaders. Leaders are very important, leadership qualities are equally important to an Organization. You need a strong Operations team to execute those strategies and make the leaders vision meaningful. Having a vision is a nice to have while having mission is must have. Let us consider mission as purpose for the context and purpose is achieved not in words or plans but in action and delivery. Challenge for Organizations across the value cycle of Enterprise is about effectively putting the plan into action, execute it. This is what the Talent part of Operations team does and they need to thrive in any organization. Organizations need to focus their energies in motivating and grooming the people in the Operations function to raise the bar all the time. Recognize their contribution and reward them sufficiently. Like strategy or plan is as good as yesterday, execution also has to be perfected each time and every time. Process does help, market, situation, customers and people are not same and that is where the talent makes the significant difference
