Managers are not chosen on their Managerial abilities in most Organizations. Managers are chosen for their past performances as an individual Performer or most times even for the years they spent in that Industry or in a particular role or within an Organization.
This is not to debate which approach will give us most successful Managers. This is to work towards making getting better Managerial skills and making a success as a Manager to get better performing teams and Organizations.
Process involves understanding the fundamentals (fabric or DNA) of each Manager and understanding the space (Industry or Domain) you operate in and the Organization you work with. Help you identify and realize the needs of the Industry, Scope of opportunity within.
